Warfordsburg woman killed in Hagerstown accident

A Warfordsburg woman was killed in a Hagerstown vehicle accident when the car she was driving left the roadway and rolled over.

Police said Norma E. Zeigler, 46, of Warfordsburg died when the red Dodge Avenger she was driving ran off the roadway in Hagerstown last Wednesday, October 28, and rolled over.

Washington County Sheriff's Department said at approximately 5:11 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle personal injury collision at 18404 Maugans Avenue.

Police said Zeigler was transported to Meritus Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Department and medical personnel. Police said they don't yet know what caused Zeigler to run off the road, and they are awaiting the results of her autopsy.
