Wilma Katherine (McCracken) Mast was born on July 8, 1921 to Guy and Clara (Spitzer) McCracken in McClave, Colorado. Sisters Alpha and Freda welcomed her. Later Clara Marie joined the family. Due to the loss of her mother at an early age as well as enduring through the great "Dust Bowl", Wilma learned how to persevere and be resilient. Her father "Daddy", her older siblings, and kind relatives raised her. She leaned on her faith and made the best of every situation early in life. She graduated from Eads High School.

After a short courtship she was united in marriage to Leonard Mast on September 14, 1940 in Tribune, Kansas. Life was never dull with Leonard. A few of their adventures included: waiting for him to return from World War II, working side-by-side in the fields, raising two active boys, running Mast Repair in Bird City, Ks, Custom Trucking in Texas, Mast Machining, and retirement. Wilma was always interested in nature and pursuing knowledge. A few of her favorite activities were: Bible study, family gatherings, sewing, crocheting, knitting, photography, oil painting, scrapbooking, greeting card-making, volunteering at the Colorado Welcome Center in Lamar, special outings, and enjoying God's outdoor creations every chance she could get. She went to her heavenly home on October 20, 2015 steadfast in her faith in God and trust in Jesus Christ at the age of 94 years.

Wilma loved her God and He blessed her with a full life.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-mother Myrle McCracken, sisters Alpha King, Freda LaCost, Clara Marie Sheesley, and brothers Dale and Roy McCracken along with several nieces and nephews. She leaves her beloved sons Marion (Joan) Mast of Bixby and Charles (Linda) Mast of Blooming Prairie; grandchildren Jodi (Jim) Peters of Ida Grove IA, Gregg (Karis) Mast of Minneapolis, Ron (Lynn) Mast, Lon Mast, and Rey Mast all of Owatonna. Wilma loved her seven great-grandchildren, Jay, Jon, Terry, Bobby, Brandon, Annabella, and Nina as well as a host of special nieces and nephews from her sisters' families.

The family is deeply grateful for the loving care Wilma received from staff, volunteers, and doctors at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie, Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, and the Blooming Prairie Ambulance Service.
