Kim Muenchow of Ortonville began her new duties as the Clinton Care Center Housing Manager in mid-October.

Big Stone County has been home for Kim most of her life, as she is an Ortonville High School and the daughter of Sharon and the late Jim Carlson.

Kim was a CNA at Northridge in Ortonville for nearly 28 years and obtained her LPN while employed there. She was involved with Hospice while at Northridge and was an EMT with the Ortonville Ambulance Service. Most recently she was employed full time with the Ortonville Ambulance Service, as assistant to the director and on-site manager, through March 2015. She was also employed at the Divine House in Ortonville and remains as an 'on-call' employee there. Kim continues to pursue her RN and business degree online.

Kim invites the public to come and tour the Clinton Care Center, which offers 24-hour customized living and respite services. A visit could be for possible interest in the facility, holding a meeting here, or just coming up to have a cup of coffee with the tenants. She stated, "If your organization is interested in having a dance or piano recital here, or caroling as the Holiday season is almost upon us, you would be more than welcomed."

Kim and her husband, Mark have two children, Rachelle, a senior at Ortonville High School; and Ryan, a seventh grader there. Mark is employed as grounds and maintenance supervisor at the Ortonville Public Schools.

She enjoys walking, reading, cooking, hunting and fishing as well as spending time with her family.

"I am looking forward to meeting more members of the Clinton community and am glad to be a part of the family at the Clinton Care Center," she stated.
