Jesse Richard Maddox, Sr., 79, of Manchester, GA passed away early Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Warm Springs Medical Center.

Funeral services were be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at First Assembly of God in Manchester. Interment was held at Meriwether Memory Gardens immediately following the funeral service. The family received friends at the funeral home in Manchester from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2015.

Mr. Maddox was born August 21, 1936 in Molena, GA the son of Pauline Beatrice Jones Maddox and Louie

Richard Maddox. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairies as a milk man. He attended First Assembly of God in Manchester for many years and was known as 'Paw-Paw" to his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Robert (Bobby) Maddox.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Oliver Maddox of Manchester; two sons, Robert Shawn Chapman and Jesse "Buddo" Richard Maddox, Jr. (Malinda) both of Manchester; three daughters: Cherri Lyn Fowler (Tony) of Newnan, GA, Joy Chapman Phillips (Champ) of Dallas, GA, and Tammy Richele Elliott (Raymond) of Manchester; two sisters: Emily Maddox of Manchester and Annette Hanson of Fort Valley, GA; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in honor of Mr. Maddox to the American Heart Association.
