Snowmobile safety course set for Saturday, November 21

The Worth County Fence Stretchers snowmobile club will be conducting their annual Snowmobile Safety Training Course on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Car-Quest in Northwood.

Class attendees must be at least 12 years old by March 31, 2016, to participate. All participants need to pre-register for the class by calling 641-425-8336 and should pre-register by November 14.

Snowmobile safety training certificates are a requirement for individuals to operate a snowmobile on public land or trails in Iowa and many other states.

The Worth County Fence Stretchers is a non-profit volunteer organization that maintains and grooms snowmobile trails in Worth County for the enjoyment of all snowmobile enthusiasts. The club is also involved in the promotion of safe snow-mobiling through its annual snowmobile safety training class and has an ongoing annual scholarship award, which graduating high school senior members can apply to receive.
