RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE NAMING OF A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF HIGHWAY 48 IN AMITE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, IN HONOR OF TAUREAN HARRIS

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Amite County, Mississippi that a request is hereby made to the Mississippi Legislature to name a certain segment of Highway 48 being 1.24 miles in Amite County, Mississippi, beginning at its intersection with East Jerusalem Road and extending to its intersection with West Jerusalem Road, in honor of Taurean Harris. A copy of plat with GPS coordinates is attached hereto.

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that J.P. Whittington, President of the Board is authorized to execute Resolution Request for and on behalf of the Board.

RESOLVED, this the 2nd day of November, 2015, upon motion of Supervisor Will Powell, seconded by Supervisor Melvin "Butch" Graves and unanimous vote of all Board Members present.
