In what became a repeated and contested question for City of Munday voters, the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages for off-premise consumption passed during the election process of November 6, 2012.

Voters turned out in good numbers at the City poles to place their votes for the Alcohol issue and also to elect two City Council members. Citizens placed their trust with Charles Grisham who had 165 votes and Trey Singleton who garnered 137 votes. Other candidates were Mark Rocha who had 127 votes, Weldon "Shorty" Gray with 122 votes, Bunny Norville who had 91 votes and Mario Sigala who obtained 60 votes.

Votes will be canvased at the Tuesday night City Council meeting next week.
