Local Singing Group To Host Annual Show

The Sioux Emperians have been bringing the sounds of barbershop harmony a Capella singing to the Sioux Falls area for over half a century! As part of the largest male a Capella singing organization in the world, the Sioux Emperians practice a uniquely American art form distinguished by tight vocal harmonies and unaccompanied singing. For many years the Sioux Emperians have performed in a variety of civic and community events, church and retirement communities, private parties, and corporate event including Sales & Marketing Executives of Sioux Falls; Good Samaritan Society and Good Sam Village; First Dakota National Bank; the Sioux Falls Morning Optimist Club, the Kiwanis Club of Sioux Fall; the SD chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and competed in the Central States District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We enjoy singing the National Anthem for The Storm, The Canaries, The Stampede, The Skyforce, and the USF Cougars. The Sioux Emperians 2015 annual show, "Be Our Guest" stage and screen — ShowTime, will be held Saturday, November 7 at 7 PM at Sioux Falls O'Gorman featuring a selection of songs from movie and stage shows. Also appearing will be "Empire Sound" young men from Lincoln and Lennox High Schools, "Presidents Men" Roosevelt High School, "Knights of the Sound Table" Sioux Falls Christian High School Men's Chorus, and "Main Street Quartet" from Orlando, Florida, reigning third place world champions. The Emperians welcome singers of all ages and singing ability. We rehearse Tuesday nights 7:30pm-10:00pm at St. John's American Lutheran Church Western and 13th.
