Forest O'Brien is the proud owner of F.A.D Transport, a company that provides hotshot and less-than-load flatbed trucking service. The company to date operates with one 'dually' pickup and 40-foot flatbed trailer.

The company hauled its first load earlier this month, a shipping container, and additional orders are being received regularly, including a shipment of hay and load of boards.

Port of Arlington President Ron Wilson congratulated O'Brien on his new company.

"It is not easy to start up a small business, particularly one with numerous licensing requirements," said Ron Wilson, president of the Port of Arlington, in congratulating O'Brien. "Forest developed a vision and plan for his company and achieved it, and we are delighted to help and support his company's startup. It's great to see Forest on the road with a load of freight. We know how hard he has worked for this."

O'Brien's start-up business was supported with small business development and planning assistance and a grant from the Port of Arlington.

Area residents and businesses needing the services of flatbed trailer hauling, F.A.D Transport in Arlington may be able to help — 541-314-7260.
