O.L. Adams, 88, of Heppner passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 around 5:30 a.m. at home while preparing to go elk hunting. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m.

Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Heppner. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Spray Cemetery in Spray, Oregon.

Mr. Adams was born June 11, 1927 at Ellijay, North Carolina to Ruth and Oscar Webb Adams. The family moved to Sedro Wooley, Wash, and on to Central Oregon when he was two years old, then settled in Spray during his teen years.

On May 22 1954, he married Jean Ann Samples at Yakima, Wash. He lived and worked in Kinzua, Oregon from 1945 until 1975, at which time he and his wife, Jean, moved into the home they built together on Blake Ranch southeast of Heppner. This became 'Pop's and Gram's' haven to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; daughter, Charmain Bogle and her husband Lee of Prineville; sons, Brian Adams of Prairie City and Tim Adams and his wife Terra of Heppner; a brother, Odell Adams of Spray; eight grandchildren, Josh, Adam, Rian, Casey, Dustan, Jay Krista and Donald; and 11 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers.
