The Well mark Foundation announced a Matching Assets to Community Health (MATCH) grant to the Weights for Wellness Project. The $75,000 MATCH grant will help launch a community friendly wellness facility in the town of Summit. Summit Area Economic Growth Corporation (SAEG) has until Dec. 15 to raise $75,000 in order to receive the matching funds from the Well mark Foundation.

The Weights for Wellness project is a collaborative effort between SAEG and the Summit Public School District and will focus on constructing a community-friendly wellness facility which will provide a safe and accessible venue for youth in their day to day physical education curriculum, while also allowing all community members usage of the facility with optimal opportunities to enhance the community's quality of life.

"To make this project a reality for our community, we need the support from individuals, families, businesses and organizations, not only from our small area, but from all over South Dakota," said Becky Hubsch from SAEG. "Now is the time to donate and pledge your support. The new wellness facility will add value in many aspects, from community resources to the quality of life for many individuals and families in our rural South Dakota town." Grant one of only 17 selected

The Well mark Foundation is a non-profit foundation that seeks to improve the health of Iowans, South Dakotans and their communities. Through its 2015 MATCH Grant Program, The Well mark Foundation received more than 60 applicants.
