Police discover meth lab in Forest Home Township

REGION — On Thursday, Oct. 29, the Antrim County Sheriff's Department along with the Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) was called to a residence on Clam Lake Road in Forest Home Township for an alarm investigation.

While at the residence, the investigating deputy came in contact with three male subjects working on components and apparatus to manufacture methamphetamine. The Traverse Narcotics Team was called in and confirmed what the deputy had found to be the chemicals, components and apparatus to manufacture the drug.

The three subjects, all from Mackinaw City, found at the residence were arrested and charged with the manufacturing of methamphetamine and unlawful entry.

TNT is a multijurisdictional task force covering eight counties and includes detectives from the Antrim, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Wexford, Osceola, Missaukee and Leelanau County Sheriff's Offices, along with the Traverse City Police Department, Elk Rapids Police Department and Michigan State Police.
