Bonnie Hay, 87

Bonnie LV Hay, 87, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28 at 1 pm at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem.

Bonnie Davis was born on May 14, 1928 in Esmond, SD to Elsie Davis. As a child she moved to Canistota and later graduated from Canistota High School. She married Donald Fischer and they later divorced and she married Tony Hay.

During her life Bonnie worked for numerous restaurants and cafes most recently owning and operating the Hayloft Cafe. She loved cooking for and serving her customers and also spending time visiting with them. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and enjoyed bowling in her younger days.

Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Shela (Jerry) Wendland of Broken Arrow, OK and Jacquelyn (Dale) Hofer of Parkston, SD; four grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence "Stub" (Jan) Dunn of Hartford, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, her parents, and four sisters, Darlene Donelan, Delores Fischer, Donna McCorkell, and Evie Pletan.
