Joe Garger

Joe Garger, 58, passed away at home Dec. 6, 2010, after a brief illness.

He was born on May 21, 1952, in Allentown, Pa., the son of Anna and Joseph I. Garger.

On Sept. 12, 1998, Joe was united in marriage to Linda Walbert in Allentown.

He was employed as a steel fabricator for Tyler Pipe in Macungie Pennsylvania for 35 years until his retirement.

Together with his wife Linda, they moved to Trinidad, where they have resided for the past five years. Joe lived life to the fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman and liked to hunt and fish. He was also an excellent dart shooter. Joe was always the life of the party and loved being the center of attention.

He was always known to have done things his way. Presently he served as the Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #181. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

Preceding him in death are parents, Anna and Joseph Garger.

Survivors include wife Linda, home address, son Mark Jenkins, Colorado Springs, daughters Jessica Steventon, Jodi Smith, grandchildren Jared, Caitlin, Braydon, Kiera, siblings Bonita (Jay) Lenhart, Eric (Sharon) Garger, Annette, Heiser all of Pennsylvania, other relatives and many dear friends.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Bill Glidden officiating.

A luncheon will follow at noon at the Elks, 120 S. Maple St.

In lieu of flowes, donations can be made to the Elks Lodge in Joe's memory.
