Ira Gene Briggs passed away on Oct. 13, 2015, with his family by his side.

He was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Picher, Okla.

He served in the Air Force for 20 plus years and when he retired he had over 5,000 hours of flight time he loved to talk about.

He was a proud father of four, Bobby Briggs, Troy Masters, Dorcee Petty, and Wade Briggs.

He had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Briggs, and two sons, Bobby Briggs and Troy Masters and his wife, Vivian Briggs.

He and his wife were long-time residents of Weiser, Idaho, and they loved their home there very much.

He was a proud member of the Weiser Adventist Church for over 30 years. He had an amazing relationship with the Lord. He taught his children and grandchildren life lessons that we will treasure always.

I want to thank all the staff at Edgewood Spring Creek in Fruitland, Idaho, for all of their loving care. I want to thank Heart and Home Hospice for comforting him through the toughest time in his life.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser.

As Dad would say, "Bye Bye for now, I will see you again someday." He will forever be missed but never forgotten.
