The Pullman Commanders 4-H Club gathered for its November 2015 meeting at the Old Stone House in Pennsboro Sunday, Nov. 1.

The members enjoyed an educational guided tour given by David and Susan Scott. They learned interesting facts about the history of the Old Stone House as well as the surrounding area in Pennsboro.

After the tour, the members conducted their monthly business meeting with the following members present: Kaelynn Ireland, Leewood Molessa, Anthony Rader, Maci Ireland, Marin Rader, and Maxwell Molessa.

President Kaelynn Ireland called the meeting to order with Anthony Rader leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Maxwell Molessa leading the 4-H Pledge. Minutes from the October meeting were read and approved as well as the treasurer's report as given by treasurer Marin Rader.

The old business that was discussed included secretary Maci Ireland reminding everyone of the Winter Festival of Lights Tour to Oglebay Park in Wheeling that is being offered by the WVU Extension Office, the deadline for enrollment forms for this year, and the results of the Window Display where the Pullman Commanders received $30 for participation.

New Business included making motions and approving the club's involvement in the Annual HVFD Christmas Parade with a float entry as well as moving to donate $30 to the Ritchie County Historical Society to help with the upkeep of the Old Stone House.

Upon suggestion and approval of adjournment, the club members enjoyed snacks and refreshments from the early age period when the Old Stone House served as a Boarding House and then dismissed. "The Pullman Commanders 4-H Club would like to thank David and Susan Scott for sharing their Sunday afternoon with them and helping bring history back to life while touring the Old Stone House. It was a very enjoyable afternoon," a spokesman for the club said.
