A Stillwater teenager was charged Tuesday with robbing the OnCue convenience store at 321 W. Hall of Fame on Oct. 28 with an imitation firearm, along with drug possession.

The suspect, Jordan Michael Dieringer, 19, was arrested about three blocks from the store, Stillwater Police Cpt. Kyle Gibbs said in a news release.

Dieringer remained in the Payne County Jail on $ 15,000 bail Tuesday afternoon pending his being presented with the charges, authorities said.

Stillwater police responded at 10:23 p.m. to a hold-up alarm at the store where two clerks said they "had just been robbed and provided a description of the single male suspect," the news release said.

The victims said "the suspect entered the store with a bandana covering his face," demanded money and displayed a handgun in the waistband of his pants, the news release said.

The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, the news release said.

While police were interviewing the victims, "nearby area officers observed and detained a male subject matching the suspect's description for further investigation," the news release said.

Dieringer "was positively identified as the robbery suspect" and arrested, the news release said.

The handgun used in the robbery was recovered, the news release said.
