Frank Woodward Hays, 83, Manhattan, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 19, 209, at Stoneybrook Retirement Community Assisted Living in Manhattan.

Mr. Hays was born April 21, 1926, in Kansas City, the son of James Andrew and Helen (Middleton) Hays. He had lived in Lawson, Mo., for many years, summering in Osage Beach, Mo., before he moved to Osage Beach full-time and then to Manhattan six months ago. He worked as a commercial and industrial electrician for Kansas City Electric and McCauley Electric. He was married to Beverly Jane No-land on Nov. 19, 1950.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Hays, of the home; two sons, M.E. Hannibal Hays, Manhattan, Kan., and Patrick Steven Hays, Kanas City, Mo.; one brother, James A. Hays Jr., Greenhaven, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Cremation. Memorial services will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, in care of Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan, KS 66502.
