Just eleven votes made the difference in Tuesday's Blountstown City Council race. Former Councilman Clifford Jackson will return to the council after defeating incumbent Ronnie Williams Sr. in a close election.

Jackson received 95 votes to Williams' 84.

A total of 181 votes were cast. Two of those were thrown out because they were blank.

The city has a little over 1, 400 registered voters.

Elections Supervisor Margie Laramore said it took less than an hour to count the paper ballots.

Jackson had 29 absentee votes, 21 early votes and received 45 more votes on election day.

Williams received 25 absentees, 32 early votes and 27 ballots on election day.
