The newly formed Bingham Community Foundation (BCF) will award their first grants to local nonprofit organizations on Tuesday, April 7.

The board, an outreach organization of the Idaho Community Foundation, has been working for nearly two years to award their first grants. In the future, they will be giving annual grants in the spring and fall to organizations in Bingham County.

Qualifying organizations include entities with current 501(c)3 not-for-profit status. In some cases, nonprofits without the appropriate status may use a fiscal sponsor to receive grants. The BCF also accepts emergency grant applications throughout the year to accommodate organizations with immediate needs. Applications must be submitted to PO Box 1438, Blackfoot ID 83221 with a postmark of no later than March 23.

For more info, contact Susan Mann at 208-317-0109/, or any BCF board member: Tom Harrington, Paul Loomis, Ashlee Howell, Margaret Peterson, Tish Dahman, Karen Clark, Katie Harris, Jessica Sotelo, or Linda Valentine.
