UWA Continuing Education to sponsor acrylic painting, quilting, watercolor classes

UWA's continuing education department will sponsor an acrylic painting class taught by Kirk Brooker at the Demopolis Higher Education Center. The class will be taught on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 P.M. for 6 weeks. The first class will be on January 22, 2013, and the final class will be on February 26. Mr. Brooker will conduct the class in an individualized manner to accommodate students from beginners to experienced painters. The cost is $80 for the six-week course.

Mrs. Lynda Ray will teach a class in watercolor at the Demopolis Higher Education Center. The class will be taught on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. and will continue for 6 weeks. The first class will be on March 12, 2013, and the final class will be held on April 16. Mrs. Ray will conduct the class to accommodate beginners as well as experienced painters. The cost of the class is $80.

Mrs. Betty Kennedy of Camden will hold classes on machine quilting at the Demopolis Higher Education Center. The classes will be held once a month on the fourth Monday. The first class will be on January 28, 2013 and will continue through May. The cost of this class is $50.
