TATUM When the Tatum Eagles take the field against Newton on Aug. 29, fans will be listening on QX-FM (100.3 FM in the greater Longview area, 97.9 FM in Tyler or 1400 AM in Jacksonville).

The local radio station is proud to be the home of the best football in East Texas again this year.

"Tatum is our community of license, and this seems a good way to help our friends and neighbors," said QX-FM owner and general manager Chuck

Conrad. "We're adding coverage of all the half time band performances and special half time segments spotlighting the achievements and goals of Tatum schools."

The game broadcasts are still on the same station, but fans will be hearing some new voices. This season, Michael Garland will provide the play-by-play, assisted by Matt Crawford with the color commentary and Trey Sterns reporting from the sidelines.

"We want to be sure all those who can't make it to home or away games can keep up with all the action," Conrad said. "In addition to the on-the-air broadcasts, you can listen online from anywhere in the world by visiting"
