Christopher Alonzo Stephens, passed away on June 24, 2014.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at William Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Pastor Nicholas Jackson officiated. Interment was at Roper Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Arrangements entrusted to Abernathy's Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Therodora Foxx Stephens of Jackson; his mom and dad, Geraldine (Jack) Stephens of Inkster, MI, and Charlie (Fannie) Stephens of Creola; his children: Laquita Foxx Pritchett of Jackson, Aisha Daffin of Tuscaloosa, Darice James, Christopher (Jasmine R.) James, Katrina Foxx and Sedrick (Jasmine S.) Foxx and treasured grandchildren: Nehemiah Pritchett, Amani Bryant, Kynlee Buchanan, Jayce Smiley and Sedrick Foxx, Jr. of Jackson; siblings: J. Charlene (James) Hamilton of Ypsilanti, ML, Charles (Kim) of Hephzibah, GA., Issac (Angela) of

Atlanta, GA., Eric (Janice) of Bainbridge, GA., Ivan Stephens of Bainbridge, GA., Jamie (Lyra) Williams of Mt. Vernon, Steve (Jeanette) Sullivan of Mobile and Charles Henry of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandmother, Jessie L. Stephens of Linden, numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousin; devoted friends including Richard Boykin, James Nichols, Robert, Charlie, and David Taylor; Theodore, Archie, Leroy and Michael Foxx; Mike Show, David and Albert Lee; Samuel and Carol Parker.

Christopher A. Stephens was born June 23, 1961 to the proud parents of Geraldine and Charlie Stephens.

He confessed and gave his life to Christ many years ago. Recently, he rededicated his life to Christ, as a living testimony that it's never to late to be baptized or completely surrender your life to God.

Pallbearers were Kendall Foxx, Tremaine Moore, Kendrick Foxx, Ronald Jackson, Raymond Chastang, Jr. and Aishontez Moore.
