Journal Opinion of Bradford, Vermont

THURMOND, NC — Russell Walter Morris, 68, of Thurmond, NC and previously of Haverhill and Rumney, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 21, 2015 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 20, 1947 in Haverhill, the son of Walter Blake and Greta Cross Morris.

Mr. Morris worked for several years in New Hampshire on his dairy farm and as a HVAC and Plumbing Contractor. While living in North Carolina, he worked as a self-employed building contractor, enjoyed working with his donkeys and his Paso Fino horses.

Surviving are his loving fiance', Barbara Brown of Thurmond; the mother of his fiance', Iva Lucille Gordon, whom she loved as her own son; his sisters, Connie (Henry) Sanville of Haverhill and Marylyn (Ron) Aldrich of Woodsville; several nieces and neplie ws and cousins; and several close friends and neighbors.

A memorial service will be held locally at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. with Pastor George Hemway officiating.
