Bret Kindal : Geography whiz

Cambridge High School Principal Notes

Congratulations to Bret Kindal for winning the local geography bee! Bret had a tough contest with Ryan Kindal. Bret will be taking the test soon and hopefully will represent our school in the state competition. If for some reason Bret is unable to attend, Ryan Kindal is the alternate.

I mentioned earlier that the JV girls conference tournament is scheduled for Saturday, January 23 in Council. Tri-Valley is scheduled to play Meadows Valley at noon. I also mentioned that our game with Council later that night will begin at 4:30 rather than 3:00 as was previously advertised. The JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys will be playing Council in Cambridge.

We have a busy week this week. Our wrestlers will be hosting Garden Valley and Pine Eagle on Thursday in Cambridge then traveling to Garden Valley for a tournament on Saturday. On Friday, the basketball teams will host Pine Eagle. The JV girls' game is scheduled to begin at 3:30. Pine Eagle only has enough boys to play one half of a JV boys game, so the varsity girls game will begin at approximately 6:00 with the varsity boys to follow at approximately 7:30. As mentioned above, the JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys will host Council on Saturday with the JV boys game beginning at 4:30.

In looking ahead to next week, Coach Hug will be hosting a mini-cheerleading camp for elementary students. The event is scheduled to take place January 25-28 in the Cambridge High School commons after school.
