Hearing set in domestic violence case

A Pearce man is awaiting a preliminary hearing later this month stemming from a domestic dispute in Willcox last week.

Twenty-eight-year-old Anthony Hernandez was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 1 and charged with three counts of aggravated assault domestic violence; kidnapping; domestic violence stalking; second degree burglary; domestic violence attempted sexual assault; domestic violence criminal damage; domestic violence prevent the use of the telephone; and domestic violence disorderly conduct, said Det. Jose Rios with the Willcox Police Department.

City police responded to the 200 block of South Bisbee Avenue for a report of breaking glass and a woman screaming.

Hernandez was found inside her house, taken into custody, and booked into jail.

He is scheduled to appear in Justice of the Peace Court No. 4 at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24.
