Sheila Lynette Hull-Watley

On November 15, 1960, Sheila Lynette Hull was born to Curry Hull, Sr. and Jerline Davis Hull in Monroe, Louisiana. She was the youngest of four children. At an early age, she united with the St. John Baptist Church and remained a faithful and dedicated member. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2009.

Shelia graduated from Bernice High School in 1978, and graduated from Grambling State University in 1982. In addition she earned a Master's Degree from Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. She also did Post Graduate Study in the field of Education and worked for twenty three years in the Union Parish School System. She was committed and dedicated to excellence for the betterment of her students. She covered a wide range of territory in the performance of her duties within the school system.

She was united in marriage to Warren Frank Watley on August 29, 1981. Two children were born to this union, Dewarren Watley of Bernice, LA and Sharonda Watley (deceased). She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother and aunt. She devoted her life to the welfare of her mother, husband, child and the community at large. She was a member of numerous church and civic organizations. Pianist for numerous churches: Fellowship Claiborne, Voices of Wonder, Forest Grove Baptist Church and St. John Baptist Church. She was President of Willing Worker's, Sunday School Teacher, 4-H Leaders, Mentor, and her School Improvement Plan. She was a passionate advocate for the children that she came in contact with on a daily basis.

She leaves to cherish her mother: Jerline Hull of Bernice, LA; husband: Warren Frank Watley of Bernice, LA; one son: Dewarren Frantez Watley of Bernice, LA; one grandson: Ke'Shawn Kordell Wilson of Bernice, La; one sister: Bettye Cullen of Dallas, TX; two brothers: Curry Hull, Jr. (Cathy) of Highland, CA; Anthony Hull (deceased); four godchildren: Marlon Lee, Anthony Morris, Xavier Fields, Somaria Smith; three sisters-in-law: Phyllis Hopkins, Janice Island of Bernice, LA, and Janet Golden of Durham, NC; three brothers-in-law: Michael Watley (Genny), Barry Watley both of Lake Charles, LA, Kenneth Watley (Abigail) of North Carolina. A devoted niece: Janna Grigsby of Bernice, LA, and a host of special friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
