Wade Juracek Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges

Former Gregory Mayor Wade Juracek went before Judge John Brown of Pierre at the Gregory County Courthouse in Burke on Thursday, August 20, 2009 and entered a plea of guilty to stealing prescription medications from county residents.

Juracek entered pleas to three felony counts with six being dismissed. He will receive his sentence at a court hearing to be held on September 21st at the Gregory County Courthouse.

Juracek was originally charged with nine counts of entering homes in Gregory County with permission to use the bathroom and then removed painkiller medication from medicine cabinets within the bathrooms.

Acting Gregory Mayor Juracek resigned under pressure from the Gregory City Council back in February.
