Services Held At Fairfax For Betty Lambert

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at the United Church of Christ in Fairfax, South Dakota for Betty Lou Lambert, with Pastors Russ Grim and Rick Walth, Officiating. Interment was at the Highland Cemetery in Fairfax. Pallbearers included Rylan Walth, Ronnie Walth, RandyWalth, James Baker, Dan Krueger and Jeremy Krueger. The music was provided by Cheryl Jons, organist and Matthew Baker, soloist. Christel Hoffman and Evelyn Liewer were at the register.

Betty Lou Lambert was born December 5, 1927 at Fairfax, South Dakota to Emanuel and Julia (Turnovec) Walth and she died August 27, 2009 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, South Dakota at the age of 81 years.

Betty attended school in Fairfax, graduating in 1945. After graduation she went to Hastings, Nebraska to work. There she met Robert Lambert. They were united in marriage in 1946 and to this union two children were born: Lola Faye and Richard. They lived in Stockton, California for 43 years. While there she babysat for a few years and then worked at Sharpes Army Depot until she retired. After they retired they moved back to Fairfax, South Dakota to be closer to her aging father. She was a member of the UCC Church in Fairfax.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband.

Betty is survived by her children: Lola Faye and husband Randy Arnett of Stockton, CA; and Richard and wife Cindy of Stockton, CA; four grandchildren: Tammy, Shelly, Gina and Michael; four greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brothers: Jim and wife Delores of Tracey, CA and Bob and wife Nettie of Bonesteel, SD; several nieces, nephews and her Haisch Haus Family.
