A Farmall tractor parade originating at Marion by Ron Globke paraded through Marion then on to Canistota on Saturday at about 2:15 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Globke on their restored Farmall led the parade starting at the Canistota ball park. The parade included several makes of tractors, including Farmall, John Deere, Allis Chalmers, Oliver and others of various sizes as well as older units and some a little newer, including a 560 Farmall. One of the entries, possibly an "H" Farmall with one wheel in front.

Some of the names were Solberg, Nielsen Wittmeier, McKim, Krauth, Horvoka, Stahl and of course Globke and several others. One could see that all participants enjoyed the ride as they waved all along the route.

Some of the towns represented were Marion, Bridgewater, Yankton, Parker, Tabor, Bloomfield, Nebraska and others.

Whoever was left in town on a Saturday afternoon enjoyed the view including residents and staff at the Good Samaritan Center, so the effort was not in vain.

The parade entered the city at the ball park, west down Ash Street, north to Good Sam, east on Main Street to East Street, north to county road and east to the VanWinkle dairy. There were 35 to 40 units and a few support vehicles.
