On Thursday evening, August 20, 2009, approximately 7,000 fans attended the much anticipated concert featuring the popular Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell and singing partner Mary Duff held at the U.S. Bank Theater in the Target Center, Minneapolis. An estimated 70 tour buses brought fans from the Midwest states to the Target Center. Among the out-of-state fans who flew to Minneapolis for the concert were Vera Lange's daughter Peggy Garcia from Colorado Springs, CO and their two friends, Belinda Bourgeois and Ruth Damare from New Orleans, LA.

The ladies also enjoyed shopping at the Mall of America the day following the concert. Vera's daughter Debbie Finseth of Fountain, her sister Margaret Lex and friend Ardis Copple of Stewartville also enjoyed Daniel's concert.

Not only is Daniel's music popular and enjoyed by his fans but also his story-telling and interaction with the audience make for a delightful time. His audiences love his easy going style, his wit and humor and, of course, his duets with long-time singing partner, Mary Duff.

This was Daniel O'Donnell's third concert in Minneapolis with his past concerts in 2005 and 2007. He told the huge audience he would return again in two years. A long standing ovation at the end of the 3-hour plus concert validated the affection and admiration Daniel O'Donnell fans have for him.
