BUSINESS SCENE

Ashley Stevenson is the new manager at Ayoobs Department Store in

downtown Quincy. She replaces Christine Charlton, store owner Charlotte Smith's sister, who moved to Los Angeles. Ashley has been a part time fixture at the family clothing store for nearly four years, juggling her time with work and college where she is pursuing a teaching credential. She has long had a desire to become a teacher and also own a clothing boutique. Looks like she is well on her way to making both dreams come true -- and making her family, especially Grandma Charlotte, proud!

Ashley has additional experience having worked as a sales and inventory control associate for Kohl's department stores. She dealt with a number of different clothing vendors during her time there, and explained she is using those connections to capitalize on her store's buying ability to lower prices on men's and women's clothing and shoes. This new pricing is clearly evident with their now arriving fall styles. An added emphasis will be on expanding the Junior and Misses fashions. Ashley and her new staff invite you to stop by and see the numerous changes they have already made.
