Head Start programs accept applications

Yavapai Head Start and Early Head Start, a National Association for the Education of Young Children accredited program, is now accepting applications for the 2010-11 school year.

Head Start is a free, federally funded preschool program for income-eligible families with children from prenatal to 5 years of age. The focus is to meet the individual needs of children at all developmental stages.

Applications may be picked up at Yavapai Head Start, 601 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale. For more information or applications, call 634-8308.
