Lori J. Lamer

Lori J. Lamer, 39, of Concordia, passed away September 6, 2009, at Clay Center from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mrs. Lamer was born Lori Jo Gawith on June 18, 1970, at Salina. She had lived in Limon, Colorado, until moving to Concordia four years ago. She worked as a deputy superintendent for the Girls Juvenile correctional facility in Beloit until recently when she became a lieutenant for the Topeka Correctional Facility, Juvenile Division.

She is survived by her husband, Brian E., of the home; a daughter, Kelsi Jo Lamer, of the home; her parents, Richard and Shirley Gawith, of Salina; a brother, Larry Gawith and wife Misty, of El Dorado; two nieces, Payton Ann and Allison June Gawith, of El Dorado; an aunt, Janet Johnson and husband Bill, of Enterprise; her father and mother-in-law, Howard and Judy Lamer, of Salina; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad Lamer, Brenda Buckley and Toni Taggart, all of Salina, and Renee Nelson, of Cody, Wyo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10, at first Baptist Church, Salina, with the Rev. Kevin Hazelton officiating.

Her husband, Brian was a former employee of Hansen Mueller, Courtland.
