Randy Burton of Burton Builder LLC in Lewes recently became a member of Remodelers Advantage, a business-improvement organization that helps successful, well-respected remodeling companies become even more organized, productive and efficient. Burton joined the Preakness Roundtable, a peer group of up to 14 remodeling company owners from noncom-peting markets that meet several times a year to network and discuss best business practices under the guidance of an industry-savvy roundtables facilitator.

"We started our roundtables program to give our members the opportunity to learn from each other," said Victoria Downing, president of Remodelers Advantage. "These groups of over 170 business owners know what works best - and what doesn't - to build a consistendy successful remodeling company. We attract business owners who work toward constant improvement even in a down economy, because they understand that this is a necessity if they are to attract clients who appreciate quality."

During roundtables meetings Burton will learn from experienced peers and share his own expertise to help the entire group grow and improve. "Our sharing of knowledge and experience will help us avoid reinventing the wheel. This, in turn, advances us toward a business that delivers an even great customer experience and a fabulous produc," said Burton.

Remodelers Advantage is a 22-year-old consulting firm dedicated to helping remodelers improve their businesses, boost their profits, and enjoy the benefits of working smarter and more efficiently. In addition to business coaching and profiling services, networking opportunities, and a full compliment of books, CDs and other business management resources, the firm offers an ever-expanding series of continuing education programs, including conferences, workshops and seminars.

"Our business began with the belief that the building process should and could be a pleasurable experience for the client. We recognize the value of proper planning and continued communication," said Burton. "Since many of our clients are nonresident owners who have entrusted us with the job of building or remodeling their beach houses, we make every effort to assure them that while they are away their home is being cared for as if they are home. From the first meeting with a client until well after their building project is completed, we remain vigilant to the task of reducing the potential stresses that can come from the building process."
