The Beyond Training Wheels biking team will sponsor a quarter auction to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Friday, May 13, at thcMilford Elks Lodge. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and the auction begins at 7. Quarter auctions work like this: Upon arriving, participants will receive a numbered paddle ($5 each, $3 each additional). Auction items will be on display with a bid price of one, two, three or four quarters. As the items are presented, bidders will place their bids in the basket provided and hold their paddles in the air. The auctioneer then picks a paddle number from a bucket of numbered balls, and the winner walks away with a product worth much more than the posted bid.

Some vendors who have provided items for the auction include At Home America, Avon, Cookie Lee Jewelry, Discovery Toys, Longaberger, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Simply Said, Thirty-One Gifts and Tupperware. More than 75 items will be won.
