Reagan awarded vet scholarship

STILLWATER, OK -- Fort Sumner native Patrick Reagan was among the verterinary students honored at the recent Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences awards banquet.

The event celebrated the achievements of veterinary students, faculty and staff. Reagan is a member of the OSU class of 2012. he is the son of Kathleen and Larry Reagan of Fort Sumner.

Reagan received the $2,000 Dr. Francis J. and Mrs. Ethlyn E. Beloncik Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship is given to a veterinary student who intends to practice in a rural area in a small, mixed or large animal practice for at least two years.

The center's Boren Veterinary Medial Teaching Hospital is open to the public and provides routine and specialized care for small and large animals. It also offers 24-hour emergency care and is certified by the American Animal Hospital Association.
