Evelyn Boyer

Evelyn Boyer, 81, of St. Lucas, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union. Mass of Christian burial was 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in St. Lucas, with Rev. David Beckman officiating. Mass servers were Joseph, Luke and Shatek Shatek. Organist was Jea-nette Dietzenbach, with St. Luke's Choir. Congregational hymns were "Be Not Afraid," "Prayer of St. Francis," "On Eagle's Wings" and "How Great Thou Art." Lector was Duane Boyer. Offertory giftbear-ers were Evelyn's granddaughters. Casketbearers were Ron Krivachek, David Krivachek, Brayton Boyer, Dennis "Junior" Boyer, Brian Rausch and Josh Boyer. Interment was at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery, St. Lucas. Arrangements were by Schluter - Balik Funeral Home Chekal Chapel, Fort Atkinson.

Evelyn Rose (Krivachek) Boyer was born Jan. 26, 1928, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Mar-kovetz) Krivachek near Ossian. Evelyn moved with her family to Fort Atkinson, where she attended St. John's Catholic School and then graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1946. She then worked for Bucheit Produce. Evelyn married Raymond Boyer Oct. 11, 1948, at St. John's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson. Together they operated the Meat Market in St. Lucas and assembled parts for DECO. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering, quilting and playing bingo. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren. Evelyn was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Jerome (Lya) Boyer, Calmar and Rodney (Brenda) Boyer, St. Lucas; one daughter, Carol (Robert) Trevino, Spillville; seven grandchildren: Tracey (Steve) Tellez, Brian Rausch, Josh (Molly) Boyer, Sara Boyer- Erickson, Brayton Boyer, Ben Weiss and Melissa Weiss; 18 great-grandchildren: Alexia, Kath-erine, Zach and Paige Tellez; Lily Rausch; Anna, Ella, Ava and Era Boyer; Kasey Erickson; Emmit, Jayden and Lucas Weiss; Clayton, Calista, Arianna and Domiauna Weiss and two sisters-in-law, Cyril-la and Ida Krivachek, both of Fort Atkinson.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth (Markovetz) Krivachek; her husband, Raymond, March 21, 2001; one grandson in infancy, A.J. Boyer and two brothers, Edward and Johnny Krivachek.
