Tax Collector Rhonda Skipper and the employees of the Walton County Tax Collector's Office honored Ashleigh Simmons as the Employee of the Quarter for January -- March 2010.

Simmons has been employed full-time with the Tax Collector's Office since 2007. She worked as a clerk in the automated collections department for two and a half years and recently began working in the revenue collections department. Prior to full-time employment, Simmons worked in the office through the DCT program at Walton High School for one year.

During the awards presentation, Director of Operations, Sylvia Rushing commended Simmons for her service and dedication.

"Simmons demonstrates her commitment to service day in and day out by greeting each customer with a smile and going above and beyond to make their day," said Rushing. "The office is very proud of Ashleigh and thankful to have her as member of our team."

Nominations for the honor of Employee of the Quarter are made by supervisors based on an employee's overall performance, demonstration of the organization's commitment to service, and efforts to exemplify the core values during each quarter.
