CopyJohn Edard VanDoren, 87, of Freeport, Fla., passed away Aug. 30, 2010. He was born Nov. 24, 1922. VanDoren was a World War II veteran serving his country in the Navy in the Philippines. He was a life member of the BPOE Elks, active in lodge #2747. He was also a member of the VFW.
VanDoren was preceded in death by his son John E. VanDoren, II.
VanDoren is survived by his loving wife, Jeanine; four daughters; 14 grand-children, and many great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at Hatcher Cemetery with Rev. John Underdahl officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2223 South Ferdon Blvd. Crestview, FL 32536.
