District 14 AA Boys All District Teams

There is no doubt that the Edgewood Bulldogs had an excellent season this year. Another district title and deep run in the playoffs showed how great this team was this year, but the names added to the All-District Teams this year capped off the season. Most of the team was honored for their terrific play, and everyone knows they well-deserved it.

For starters, Darrius Rogers was named the District MVP for the entire league for his senior year. Leading the team in scoring, he was one of the driving forces that helped take the team to the fourth round of the playoffs. He was the only player on the squad to receive a superlative, but by far he wasn't close to being the only one selected.

Two members of the Edgewood squad were named to the First All-District Team. Dillon Parmer and Calvin King grabbed those honors. Parmer brought his post play to full view this season, dominating from his inside position. King, on the other hand, developed his long range shot and killed teams with his multiple three-pointers. They were both seniors.

Two younger players were placed on the Second Team All-Distript squad. Josh Sharff and Colten Hinton both brought their fresh games to the team this season, and Edgewood will welcome both young stars back next year. Sharff was a sophomore, and Hinton was a junior.

Six other players were given Honorable Mentions. Wyatt McBride, Kiin Tuma, and Trey Brown were the three seniors who received honors. Three underclassmen also were given these honors. Austin Flemming, a junior, and Trey Jameson and Davy Foster, both sophomores, were given Honorable Mentions.

Eight players of the squad were named to the Academic All-District Team. Trey Brown, Austin Flemming, Davy Foster, Trey Jameson, Calvin King, Wyatt McBride, Kiin Tuma, and Josh Sharff all were awarded for their academic commitments.
