Raymond John Money passed away Sept 1, 2010 from complications of a fall and heart attack. He was 65.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1944 in Havre, Mont. to Sandy and Rosemary Money. He graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1962.

Ray honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and returned to Montana where he continued his education in Butte and Helena. In 1973, he moved to Seattle and took a position with Boeing. Due to his solid understanding of aircraft mechanics and strong work ethic, Ray was able to rise through the ranks of the Boeing management team. He received numerous Boeing achievement awards for his skills and leadership.

It was at Boeing that he met his wife, Becky Rhodes. They married in 1979 and made their home in Renton.

Ray retired from Boeing in 2001 after 29 years of dedicated service. They moved to Eatonville to be closer to family.

Wherever Ray went, he made friends. Especially close to him were his buddies at the Big Foot Tavern and Eagles Lodge in Eatonville. Bowling, horseracing, NASCAR, Reno and poker friends will always remember Ray's laughter and laid back demeanor. Those who knew Ray knew how big his heart truly was and felt blessed by his love and friendship.

Survivors include his stepchildren, Dusty (Deane) Rhodes, Rhonda Nester and Mary (Larry) Cain. They were blessed with nine grandchildren. Ray is also survived by his mother, Rosemary Money; sisters Sheri Morrow, Sandy (Loren) Hagge and Pat Money; brother Mike (Peanut) Money; and uncle Tom (Alora) Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, father and grandparents.

Burial services at Tahoma National Cemetery are scheduled for Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Eatonville Eagles Lodge at 2 p.m.
