Two of Freeman Academy's top soccer players were recently recognized by the South Dakota Soccer Association by being named to the Class A all-state second team.

Senior Richard Friesen, who emerged as a scoring threat for the Bobcats after moving from fullback to forward early in the season, and junior Andre Eisenbeis, who anchored the middle of the field throughout 2009, are among the 18 players on the second team.

The Class A all-state team also includes an 18-member first team and a nine-member third team. For the list of all players selected, go to www.southdakotasoccer.com and click on the "High School League" link on the left side of the page.

Freeman Academy finished the 2009 season 5-8-1.
