Kheang Chheng and his wife, Sopheap moved to Grand Saline from Longview recently to open a donut shop. They have rented Don Latham's building next to Don's Dairy Bar, which used to be Grand Saline Floral. After three months of remodeling the building Chheng is into his second week of being open for business.

"It's been pretty steady everyday," declared Chheng when asked how his new business was doing during its first week. He and his wife get to the shop at 3:30 am seven days a week to start making donuts. They are open from 4:30 a.m. to noon and serve everything from donuts to burritos, bacon and sausage biscuits, kolaches and croissants as well as several beverages.

The donut shop seats about 15-20 people at one time and take-out as well as call-in orders are always welcomed. If you haven't stopped by to meet Kheang and Sopheap, make sure you do one morning or call and say hi when you order some donuts for the office. Their number is 903-962-0000.
