Hyattville girl was seriously injured in a one-vehicle rollover Tuesday night.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Susan Bush, who is investigating the crash, said because the driver was a juvenile she did not feel comfortable releasing the name.

School officials also declined to release the name.

But friends have identified the driver as Dakota Darling, a senior at Riverside High. St. Vincent Hospital confirmed that Dakota Darling is in intensive care.

Bush said the crash occurred about 6:50 p.m. at milepost 11 on Wyoming Highway 31 between Manderson and Hyattville. The driver was headed southbound toward Hyattville in a Mazda pickup. Bush said that for reasons unknown at this time, the vehicle veered off the side of the highway, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled about three times coming to rest in the south barrow ditch.

Bush said late Tuesday night that she had not been able to talk to witnesses who were first on the scene and would be able to get a better idea of what happened in the daylight.

She said it does appear the driver was ejected from the pickup. "She would not have been able to get out of the pickup on her own with the extent of her injuries," she said.

The driver was Life-Flighted to St. Vincent after being transported to Washakie County Medical Center in Worland.
