The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando held its Lion of Judah Luncheon at Shelley Lake's Sky Lake Studios in Winter Park. The Lions were the first to hear about the PJ Library, a new outreach initiative that the Jewish Federation is bringing to the community thanks to the generosity of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and local philanthropists. The PJ Library program supports families in their Jewish journey by sending free Jewish-content books and music on a monthly basis to children from age six months to five years.

The introductory presentation was given by Rosalie Eisen, community development director at the PJ Library. Eisen mentioned that 40- percent of PJ Library par-ticipants are usually families unknown before to the Jewish community.

The program was established four years ago and to date 130 communities are affiliated and over 4 million books have been sent to families with young children.
