Margaret Stalvey

The Horry Independent of Conway, South Carolina

Services for Margaret Blackmon Stalvey, 88, were held this past Friday in Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel with the Rev. Dale Willoughby and the Rev. Billy Carroll officiating. Entombment followed in Hillcrest Mausoleum.

Mrs. Stalvey of Blackmon Road died Sept. 7 at her residence.

Born in Dillon, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Debbie Lee Hayes Blackmon. She was the widow of Archie B. Stalvey.

Mrs. Stalvey was also predeceased by four brothers, Lamar Blackmon, Gary Blackmon, Ellis Blackmon and Flim Blackmon; and three sisters, Alma Willoughby, Thelma Bailey and Nellie Godbolt. She was a member of Conway Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are three sons, Bobby Roy Stalvey and his wife Leola, Michael B. Stalvey and his wife Marilyn and Jerry Stalvey of Conway; a daughter, Brenda Joyce Hyman and her husband Donald of Conway; and five grandchildren, Bobby Stalvey Jr., Susan Springer, Teresa Dawn Stalvey, Brad Stalvey and Valerie Stalvey.
