Winford Hardwick

Services for Winford Hardwick, 63, will be held at 2 p.m. today in Free Worship Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Cannon and the Rev. James McElveen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

Mr. Hardwick of Juniper Bay Road died Monday in Conway Medical Center.

Born in Conway, he was a son of Ruby T. Hardwick and the late Leo Hardwick. He was a member of Free Worship Free Will Baptist Church Sunday School, and prior to retirement he was employed by Hardwick's Landscaping.

Mr. Hardwick was predeceased by two brothers, Billy Hardwick and Wendell Hardwick; and a niece, Tammy Long. Mr. Hardwick was loved by many friends and family members, nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by "all" his "ball" fans.

Surviving are his mother of Conway; two daughters, Sherry McCracken and her husband Jerry and Ashley Hardwick of Conway; three grandsons, Jeremy McCracken, Jonathan McCracken and Jake McCracken; two brothers, Truitt Hardwick and his wife Grace of Conway and Johnny Hardwick and his wife Donna of North Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Sarah Jordan and her husband Ringle of North Myrtle Beach, Helen Long and her husband Barney of Wampee and Jolane Strickland and her husband Joe of Conway.
