Flora Lebahn of Ramona, S.D., age 62, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Madison Community Hospital under the care of Madison Hospice. Visitation was from 7-9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 1, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Ellsworth Funeral Home and continued one hour prior to the service at the church.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at St. John Lutheran Church, Ramona, with Rev. Becky Senner officiating. Pallbearers were Terry, Steven, Dan and Ronnie Audi, Gerald Schmiechle and Gary Schaeffer. Honorary pallbearers were her many cousins. Burial was at St. John Cemetery, Ramona.

Hora Auch was born Dec. 5 1947, at Scotland, S.D., to Ervin and Alitha (Schaeffer) Auch. She received her education at Scotland school, Odessa country school and graduated from Yankton High School. She continued her education at Northwestern College and completed a teachers degree at Mount Marty College in Yankton.

Hora married David Eich Dec. 22, 1967 at Yankton. She was home economics teacher at Irene High School and then was a homemaker for 10 years before moving to Colorado. She had several jobs in Colorado and moved to Handreau in 1982 where she taught at Flandreau Indian School.

Flora married Doug Lebahn,. Nov. 9, 1985, at St. John Lutheran Church near Ramona. She continued her educaMon in Information Technology at DSU and worked in Information Services there. She taught home economics, computers, art and later was network administrator at Oldham-Ramona School District nearly 20 years.

Survivors include her husband Doug Lebahn of Ramona; children: Dana (Don) and sons Jarrad and Collin Deboer of Egan, Daniel (fiancee Melissa and son Kyler) and daughter Madeline Eich of Sioux Falls, Angela and daughter Akiaha Lebahn of Sioux Falls; her mother, Alitha Peterson of Yankton; a sister Darlene Jensen of Yankton and a special four-legged friend, Ginger.

She was preceded in death by her father, infant brother Alfred Auch and brother-in-law Larry Jensen.
