ROTARY CLUB RECEIVES AWARDS

Rotary international and the regional district recognized the local clubis membership growth and retention for the Rotary year ending June 30.

"We were recognized for net percentage gain - 14 percent and Net loss - We lost no members in the 2008-2009 year," stated past president (2007-2008) and current secretary Mike Kerns. Kathy Lakey was president during the 2008-2009 Rotary year.

The district includes 67 clubs with nearly 4,000 members residing in northeastern California communities from the Oregon border to Berkeley, sans Sacramento.

Current club officers and board members are president, Ann Chamberlain; president-elect, Sally Armstrong; secretary/newsletter editor, Mike Kerns; treasurer, Bob Moore and Kathleen Munhollan; vocational service, Vickie deBraga; club service, Pat Thomason; community service, Bill Chamberlain; foundation, Roger Borkey; and, membership, Kathy Lakey.
